In combination
graphics, the whole is indeed greater than the sum of
its parts.
The pressure a
young enlisted man feels when taking one of the many
tests that are required in the military is second only
to what we feel when creating the grading keys the
instructor uses to arrive at their results. Douglass has
supplied many branches of the military with answer keys
to make the grading process secure, quick and accurate.
Such combination graphics are the result of our
experience and numerous processes coming together to
produce true one-of-a-kind items.
We can
create credential badges, giving the wearer access to
even the most sensitive and secured areas. The Navy
trusts us to create navigational compasses, while the
Army relies on our multiple-level wheels and guides
to
help line up armaments. Whatever is needed, whether it’s
a license plate or a trade show item giveaway, Douglass
combines die-cutting, embossing, laminates, eyelets and
more to deliver a winning combination.

Challenge:
The U.S. Secret Service asked us to produce a hang-style
parking permit for their private lot. They sent
specifications of what they wanted, including a
suggested material to print on. It sounded simple
enough.
Solution:
Once we received the job, we quickly realized the
material they had suggested was too thin. It would curl
and become unreadable over time. While many printers
might have gone ahead with the job as specified, we
called Washington and suggested a higher millage of
vinyl and some techniques that would better fit the
end-use for this particular product. They
agreed. After all, clearance for those in the Secret
Service is not something to be taken lightly. |
