We’re not just another pretty face.
Whether it’s the faceplate on an Honor®
ATM machine that
allows a
financial institution to customize their machines, or
the instructions on a copy machine, Douglass products
are created for ease in instruction and high use.
For instance,
the serial plate on a piece of equipment often goes
unnoticed until a replacement part or warranty issue
arises. We create equipment
faceplates
that provide
important information
on durable aluminum that’s then
riveted onto a wide variety of products, such as
National Vacuums and Smith Bilt tool sheds. In all
cases, the faceplate must be made to outlast the
product.
That’s why
companies like Auntie Anne’s, Icee, and Publix Super
Markets trust us to solve cases of mistaken identity
when it comes to their equipment faceplates. |
Challenge:
Food Machinery Corporation
(FMC) needed an identification graphic that would not be
destroyed by the fresh orange juice their vending
machines dispensed. These faceplates
would promote their product and walk the buyer through
the steps to get their daily dose of Vitamin C.
Solution:
We had to work with numerous prototype materials for
this project due to the high acid content in orange
juice. Many materials simply couldn’t hold up in such a
harsh environment. We suggested a durable material that
would not be affected by acidity even if the machine saw
a lot of activity, and created faceplates that were as
colorful as they are functional.
