Betsy Filipkowski is the Accounting Manager at Douglass Screen Printers, Inc., a screen and digital printing company based in Lakeland, Florida. The firm was named in DiversityBusiness.com's 2007 Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses in the United States and Top 100 Diversity-Owned Businesses in Florida, and is a Top 50 Printer to the U.S. Government Printing Office.
Ms. Filipkowski is a member of First United Methodist Church. She serves on the Children's Council as well as the Our Giving Tree Bookstore Committee and Church Council. She is a member and past treasurer of her home owner's association. She is a member and past treasurer for Lincoln Avenue Academy PTA, as well as a member and current treasurer of Lawton Chiles Middle Academy PTSA. She is the incoming treasurer for Lawton Chiles Middle Academy Band Boosters. She is on the executive committee and is current treasurer for Lakeland Assemblies Cotillion Club.
Ms. Filipkowski enjoys spending time with her family, reading, bicycle riding, and going to the beach.
Ms. Filipkowski started her accounting career in 1989 with Stein Mart. She has also had accounting positions with Florida Rock Industries, Champion International and Publix. After taking time off to raise a family, she has returned to full time work by joining the team at Douglass Screen Printers.
