Lisa Kaiser Hickey and
her husband, Michael Hickey, of Douglass Screen Printers, Inc. (DSP)
attended the Print 05 and Converting 05 Trade Show held in Chicago.
Douglass Screen Printers is looking to expand their market base
by introducing various new products. DSP is also looking to enhance
their, already exceptional and capable, machinery with new equipment
that will enable DSP to accomplish their envisioned expansion.
The Chicago trade show
hosted exhibits by Xerox, Sterling, Gammerler, Ryobi, Epson, and
Riso to name a few. The various other exhibits displayed solvent
inks, large and wide format printing technology, High Speed UV Dryers,
Digital Publishing Solutions literature, Fusing Foils, Foil-Tech
Fusers, and Business Management Software solutions. Leaders of the
Print 05 and Converting 05 trade show presented significantly expanded
editions of two very popular features from their previous shows
such as:
- The Mailing &
Fulfillment Center which focused on ways companies could add this
high-demand, high-value service to their client offerings.
- The Wide Format Pavilion
which focused on large and wide format printing technology.
The new features in this
year’s trade show were:
- The RFID Pavilion
which featured information and demonstrations on using print technologies
to produce electronic circuits and radio frequency identification
tags.
- The Binding and Finishing
Technologies Pavilion which was organized with the Binding Industries
of America. In their vision, this would bring together companies
with innovations for post press.
This trade show joined
regular exhibitors from the United States as well as 800 exhibitors
from around the world. Such exhibitors included Accuratech Machine
Industries, Bao-Dear Enterprise, Kern AG, Mitsui Chemicals, Plockmatic
International AB and Sichuan Juguang Printing Apparatus, to name
a few.
